Sal Fasano had 5 hits and 3 RBI as the Baltimore Engineers defeated the
Halifax Hurricanes in 10 innings by a score of 10 to 9 at B&O Field.
The score was knotted at 9 after nine innings. Baltimore ended up winning it
in the 10th inning. Russell Branyan delivered a one-base hit. After an out
was recorded, Milton Bradley came up and he was hit by a pitch. Fasano then
doubled making Baltimore the victors to the delight of the home town
faithful. A wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.
The winning pitcher was Akinori Otsuka(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2/3 of an
inning. Nick Masset(0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief.
