Geovany Soto ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Moose Jaw Snipers defeated
the Corpus Christi Lightning Bolts by a score of 10 to 4 at Moose Park.
 
Soto provided much of the offense.  He blasted a two-run home run in the 3rd
inning and cracked a solo homerun (his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning.
Moose Jaw had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate
innings.  
 
The win was credited to Paul Byrd(1-0) who went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 4
runs. Byrd was helped out by Chad Zerbe who recorded his 1st save.  Mark
Leiter(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed 4 homeruns in 5 and 1/3
innings of work.
