Adam Hyzdu launched 2 homeruns as the Baltimore Engineers topped the Corpus
Christi Lightning Bolts in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4 at Labaonte
Field.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Baltimore won it in the 10th
inning. After two were out Mike Bordick drew a walk. Milton Bradley next to
the plate and he was hit by a pitch. Sal Fasano then drew a walk to load the
bases. John Bale then unleashed a wild pitch scoring the run. Baltimore
finished with 14 hits while Corpus Christi ended up with 7.
The winning pitcher was Justin Speier(1-0) who allowed no runs in 3 innings.
Speier got relief help from Akinori Otsuka who gained credit for his 1st
save. Bale(0-1) took the loss in relief.
