Nomar Garciaparra touched them all and had 2 RBI at Wylie Stadium as the
Oshkosh Zephyrs staged a comeback win over the Tega Cay Coyotes by the count
of 9 to 7.
Oshkosh won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 5 runners on 3
hits. The highlight belonged to Tony Graffanino who disappointed the
partisan crowd when he doubled clearing all three ducks off the pond.
Oshkosh finished with 11 hits in the victory.
Clay Condrey(1-0) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory.
Condrey was helped out by Henry Owens who recorded his 2nd save. John
Riedling(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was not very effective,
surrendering 5 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Garciaparra said. 'If you
just keep trying good things can happen!'
