At J.R. Browning Dome the Yachats Yogi's easily handled the Astoria Ax Men by
the score of 8 to 4.
Yachats had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 7th inning when they had
3 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Matt Lecroy who
quieted the home crowd when he lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 3rd of the
season). Yachats had 14 hits for the night while Astoria had 11.
Mac Suzuki(1-1) allowed 4 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Steve
Karsay got the save, his 2nd. Chuck McElroy(0-1) absorbed the loss in
relief.
