| Milton Bradley made an astounding diving catch to rob Todd Walker of at least a double to end the game. Had Walker made it to second, the Hurricanes would have slugger J.R. House come up as the winning run. |

WEB GEMS- Bot 9th: Milton Bradley robbed Todd Walker of an extra base hit.
Adam Hyzdu had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Baltimore Engineers topped the reeling
Halifax Hurricanes by a score of 6 to 4 at Windy Stadium.
Hyzdu provided the offensive punch. He stroked a base-hit in the 1st inning,
doubled resulting in a run in the 3rd inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the
park (his 6th of the season) in the 7th inning and delivered a single scoring
a run in the 8th inning. Baltimore had 14 hits for the night while Halifax
had 7.
Billy Buckner(1-0) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Buckner got help
from Akinori Otsuka who was credited with his 2nd save. Anibal Sanchez(0-2)
was charged with the loss. He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 8 hits and 5
walks.
'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Buckner, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
