Right fielder Jose Guillen homered and had 3 RBI at Civic Stadium where the
Oshkosh Zephyrs beat the Eugene Emeralds 7 to 5.

Oshkosh had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 2nd inning. The crucial
at-bat was provided by Guillen who silenced Civic Stadium as he lofted a
three-run bomb (his 1st of the season). Oshkosh had 15 hits overall, while
Eugene had 12.

The victory was credited to Jason Jennings(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 3
runs. Henry Owens got the save, his 1st. Brett Tomko(0-1) absorbed the loss.
He was hit hard and gave up 14 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Jennings, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
