Lightning Bolts Strike First and Hold on in 7-5 Win Over Snipers

The Lightning Bolts got the scoring started early, scoring 3 in the 1st, a run in the 2nd, and two more in the 3rd. The Bolts got out to a 7-0 lead in the 6th, but the Snipers came back with 4 of their own in the 6th, but weren't able to come all the back.

In a tight game it was the Corpus Christi Lightning Bolts 7, the Moose Jaw
Snipers 5 at Moose Park.
 
Corpus Christi started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half
of the first with 3 runs on 2 hits.  Luis Castillo led off and started the
rally when he drew a walk.  Jacoby Ellsbury next to the plate and he laced a
one-base hit.  Julio Lugo then doubled knocking home two runners.  After an
out was recorded, Jason Varitek came to the plate and would ground out
scoring the final run of the inning.  Bobby Witt(1-0) got relief help from
Mike Buddie who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 1st save.
 
Jose Lima(0-0) was charged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits
and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
