Cody Ransom ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Labaonte Field as the Oshkosh
Zephyrs embarrassed the Corpus Christi Lightning Bolts by the lopsided score
of 14 to 4.
Ransom was a source of great heartache for the Corpus Christi faithful all
evening. He just kept pounding out hits! He delivered a solo blast in the
6th inning, doubled in the 8th inning and belted a three-run homer (his 2nd
of the season) in the 9th inning. Offensively, Oshkosh was a juggernaut.
They scored in 6 separate innings.
The win was credited to Sterling Hitchcock(0-0) who went 6 and 1/3 innings
allowing 4 runs. Joey Hamilton(0-1) was given the loss. He pitched 1 and 2/3
innings and surrendered 6 hits and no walks.
'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park tonight,' Ransom said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'
